In the Lords Hands

The Cross is for us
The symbol of the greatest sacrifice known to man

Proverbs 11

24 The world of the generous gets larger and larger;
the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.
A man may grow poor by not paying just debts, not relieving the poor, not allowing needful expenses. Let men be ever so saving of what they have, if God appoints, it comes to nothing.

25 The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed;
those who help others are helped.
Both in temporal and spiritual things, God commonly deals with his people according to the measure by which they deal with their brethren.

26 Curses on those who drive a hard bargain!
Blessings on all who play fair and square!
 We must not hoard up the gifts of God’s bounty, merely for our own advantage.

30 A good life is a fruit-bearing tree;
a violent life destroys souls.
The righteous are as trees of life; and their influence upon earth, like the fruits of that tree, support and nourish the spiritual life in many.

31 If good people barely make it,
what’s in store for the bad!
Even the righteous, when they offend on earth, shall meet with sharp corrections; much more will the wicked meet the due reward of their sins. Let us then seek those blessings which our Surety purchased by his sufferings and death; let us seek to copy his example, and to keep his commandments.

Prayer of reflection on Gods Word
Jesus, thank you for the reminder that Giving to those in need is so important in your eyes. Recently I heard something about a man that was spoken of as a “Hard driving, business man that kept everyone’s feet to the fire” afterward it was mentioned he was a good man. My reaction was no he can not be both. Lord in my heart I feel just as I felt then, People come before Profit. Lord help us walk the line between being good at business and better at your way of living. Lord I know following you is always a winning effort no matter the score  on earth the real results rest in eternity.
Amen and Amen
