Reflections of Modern Living

In the Lords Hands

Prayer: DTB

July 29, 2010

READING Romans 12:1-2

Brothers, I beg you through the mercy of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God, your spiritual worship. Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may judge what is God’s will, what is good, pleasing and perfect.

Prayer of reflection

Lord, the key word spoken here is the renewal of the mind, at least that is what shines in my spiritual eye. Conforming to the present world is so easy. We are conditioned to this present day by all it's trappings. These devilish snares take us away from mental renewal. Lord, help us to over come the slippery slope of modern day living. This lifestyle that is just another form of idolatry. Renewing the mind comes easy when we walk with you. Lord you are contagious, we catch your loving ways, your ability to see beauty, or your gift of being at peace. Lord not long ago I heard that being a Christian was being a "little Christ". The initial reaction was no way. However walking with you does transform us to being reflections of you. WE adapt the ways of those we run with, thanks for being the greatest of running Buddies.

Amen and Amen
